Dec 9, 2025, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
So I would think in terms of having those delineators coming up, they're sticking up, you can't miss it. And I would hope that it would have an effect. That is, at least I'm putting it out as a consideration in terms of uh what we're considering here, because we do care about traffic safety. We do care about people being hurt. And I just received an article from the uh uh Washington Post uh concerning this is happening all over the country, this speeding and and and the like. This is a major problem in the country. And of course, it's a problem in all of our neighborhoods. I yield.

Thank you. Um there's another option, you had mentioned traffic circles. But I don't necessarily think that you may need a traffic traffic circle, but I think we do have to get DelDOT into this. The chicane going up the end of of uh uh State Street, is there's a chicane there and the chicane is a very narrow area where you have to kind of squerve around. Now whether your street can handle that or not, but a chicane can be very narrow and yet still require somebody to make basically miss it. They have to make a turn, they're not sending a circle. So that if you can go up to State Street, take a look at it, I think we need to get them in on it and say, okay, here's the situation. When that happens, they talk to the neighbors. You bring the neighbors in and and deal with them, and we'll probably have to get members of the state legislature to finance it, but they'll do that. So I think that there may be a solution with the chicane, and that is a little bit different than what you're

talking about it's not a circle. Uh at, so if you go up to the end of State Street and see exactly what I'm talking about. But I think we have to move as fast as possible. I yield.
