As I understand it, and, Mr. Kopp, you can correct me if I'm I'm wrong, that at the time that the sale takes place, if the demolition is in place, then it becomes the uh that the buyer will then either come to us and tell us what they're going to do and they will take the building down. Is that my understanding?

Thank you. Is there anyone who is in favor of demolishing the this piece of property? I see no hands, no one online...
Play from 1:02:01Nov 20, 2025, Special Council Meeting - Violations of the Dangerous Building Ordinance (VDBO)
all has spoken. Basically, looking at this, the house is really not relevant. What's relevant is the piece of property that a new house is going to go on. Basically, a good house, a safe house, a well-built house for people who desperately need housing. The destruction of this property is typical of any empty building that's throughout the entire city. They're being destroyed from the inside out. I compare it to termites. There's people who cannot help themselves. These are people who cannot help themselves. They're desperate, and they'll do anything that they possibly can. That becomes a separate issue that the House of Pride basically is trying to get these people out of that depths of depression and the problems that they're having. In this case, it's I think it's fairly simple. The land that that house sits on is the most valuable thing. There is a value to it, can be sold. By taking this action now, you have 30 days for something to happen, to come to the city and let a code inspector know that there's action being taken, there really is going to be a closing, there's evidence that are there, and the code inspection team has been known to work with individuals and companies and organizations to be flexible in this. That's where we stand at this time. I'm going to call the question at this time. All in favor of the demolition of this building by the December 22nd? Motion?
