[Executive session items are not shown.] 1.03 Reconvene Open Session President Jackson reconvened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 1.04 Superintendent Update Dr. Cahoon presented the Superintendent Update as follows: - • Attendance at meetings and events - • Updates on Central Elementary School - • Updates on Grade Configuration - • Dover High School Summer Graduation - • Upcoming Events 1.05 Board President – Member Updates Ms. Geist - • Excited to be digging in and becoming familiar with data - • Attended School Board Partners Conference which focused on how the board and district can collaborate regarding student outcomes. - • Wants to hear from constituents and will connect constituent with the proper district person, following the chain of command. Looking into resources to assist the board with policies such as First State Educate. - • Looking forward to connecting with teachers and community members. - • Attended the Delaware School Board Association Annual Meeting and National Night Out - thank you to community partners, first responders.

Ms. Pendleton - • Looking forward to the beginning of school year. - • Attended Dover High School summer graduation ceremonies. - • Volunteered to assist East Dover ECC with a painting project. - • Attended Back to School event held at Booker T. Washington Elementary School on August 9. Attended first day of New Teacher Orientation on August 13. - • School board retreat was informative and engaging. - • Wanted to share with all Eagles fans that she went to the Eagles football camp. Ms. Duggins - • Attended events: board retreat, New Teacher Orientation and met all new staff members, summer graduation, NAACP banquet - • Volunteered at East Dover ECC painting. - • Welcome back to a new school year and hope everyone is revitalized and ready to move forward. Please let board members know if they can be of assistance. Mr. Christiansen - • Board retreat was very inspiring. - • First year all 5 board members attended the summer graduation, Class of 2025. - • Has been relaxing at the beach this summer. - • Reminded Dr. Cahoon that at the August 26 opening day event the theme of the homecoming parade will be revealed. Hope to have lots of representation at the parade from schools and organizations. Winners of the floats will be judged by the board members and prizes will be awarded. Dr. Jackson - • Attended most of the events as mentioned by other board members. C. §1704(4) Waiver of schools receiving no less than 98% of the Opportunity Funding it generates for School Year 2025-2026. 3.03 Unit Count Ms. Chenee’ Brooks, Director of Human Resources, presented an overview of the Unit Count process. Slides included school enrollment summary from 2021-2025, summary of units by school for September 30, 2024 unit count, district unit summary, and unit management 3.04 District Financial Position Report (Resolution No. 26-024) On a motion by Mr. Christiansen, seconded by Ms. Pendleton, and on a unanimous vote, the board adopted Resolution No. 26-024 approving the school district financial position report as required under Section 1507, Title 14 Delaware Code, for submission to the Department of Education August 31, 2025.
