SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Potential Litigation

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on March 21, 2022 at 5:16 p.m. with Council President Sudler presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Boggerty, Mr. Neil, Dr. Pillsbury, Mrs. Arndt, and Mr. Hare. Mr. Rocha, and Mr. Taylor were absent. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were Mr. Hugg, Ms. Peddicord, Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Bennett. Other staff members present were Ms. Sass and Mr. Osika. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Hare moved for adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mrs. Arndt and unanimously carried. Mr. Hare moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004(b)(4) - Strategy sessions, including those involving legal advice or opinion from an attorney-at-law, with respect to collective bargaining or pending or potential litigation, but only when an open meeting would have an adverse effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the public body. The motion was seconded by Mr. Anderson and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:17 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:52p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Potential Litigation During the executive session, members of Council considered potential litigation. Mr. Anderson moved to accept the staff recommendations. The motion was seconded by Mr. Boggerty and carried by a unanimous roll call vote (Neil, Rocha, and Taylor absent). Mr. Hare moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Anderson and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 5:57 p.m. ANDRIA L.
