SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC)

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on December 11, 2023, at 5:15 p.m., with Council President Hare presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Neil, Mr. Lewis, Dr. Pillsbury, Ms. Arndt, and Mr. Boggerty. Mr. Sudler and Mr. Rocha were absent. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were Mr. Rodriguez, Ms. Bennett, Mr. Hugg, and Ms. Duca. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Ms. Arndt moved for the adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Neil, and unanimously carried. Mr. Anderson moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency, and abilities of individual employees are discussed unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:16 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:50 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION During the Executive Session, members of Council discussed personnel matters. Mr. Anderson made the motion to authorize the City Manager to post the Finance Director position and to investigate external companies to aid in financial reporting and other activities. It was seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. Mr. Hare moved for adjournment of the Special Council Meeting, hearing no objection, the meeting adjourned at 5:51 p.m. ANDRIA L.
