SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Strategy Sessions and Personnel Matters

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on March 19, 2024, at 5:15 p.m., with Council President Hare presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Neil, Mr. Boggerty, Ms. Arndt, Mr. Sudler, and Mr. Rocha. Dr. Pillsbury and Mr. Lewis were absent. Mayor Christiansen was also absent. Council staff members present were Mr. Rodriguez, Ms. Bennett, Mr. Hugg, Ms. Sass and Mr. Hamlett. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Neil moved for the adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mr Rocha, and unanimously carried (Pillsbury, Lewis absent). Mr. Sudler moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004(b)(4) - Strategy sessions, including those involving legal advice or opinion from an attorney-at-law, with respect to collective bargaining or pending or potential litigation, but only when an open meeting would have an adverse effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the public body and pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employees are discussed, unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried (Pillsbury, Lewis absent). The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:16 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:59 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION During the Executive Session, members of Council discussed the Ambulance Service Contract and personnel matters. There was no action taken. Mr. Hare moved for adjournment of the Special Council Meeting, hearing no objection, the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m. (Pillsbury, Lewis absent). ANDRIA L.
