SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC)

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on January 08, 2024, at 5:15 p.m., with Council President Hare presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Neil, Mr. Lewis, Dr. Pillsbury, Ms. Arndt, Mr. Sudler, Mr. Rocha, and Mr. Boggerty. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were Mr. Rodriguez, Ms. Bennett, Mr. Hugg, and Ms. Duca. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Sudler moved for the adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Rocha, and unanimously carried. Mr. Neil moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency, and abilities of individual employees are discussed unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Ms. Arndt and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:20 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:45 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION During the Executive Session, members of Council discussed personnel matters. Mr. Anderson made the motion to follow the staff recommendation for the interim positions for Finance Director/Controller Treasurer and Customer Service. Also that the temporary bump in pay for being interim commences immediately upon the start of the positions and that the Finance Director/Controller Treasurer bump in pay will be 10% because of the difference in grade between the two positions. It was seconded by Mr. Rocha and unanimously carried. Mr. Hare moved for adjournment of the Special Council Meeting, hearing no objection, the meeting adjourned at 5:49 p.m. ANDRIA L.
