SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Personnel Matters

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on September 23, 2024, at 5:02 p.m., with Council President Anderson presiding. Members present were Mr. Hare, Mr. Lewis, Ms. Arndt, Mr. Boggerty, Mr. Neil, Mr. Rocha, and Dr. Sudler. Dr. Pillsbury was absent. Council staff members present was Ms. Walls, Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Poole. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Neil moved for the adoption of the agenda, seconded by Ms. Arndt, and unanimously carried. Ms. Arndt moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004(b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employees are discussed, unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Mr. Rocha and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:02 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 6:18 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION During the Executive Session, members of Council discussed personnel matters. Dr. Sudler made a motion to repost the position for seven (7) days, changing a previously required qualification to a preferred qualification and notifying applicants of the reason for the repost. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lewis and carried unanimously. Mr. Anderson moved for adjournment of the Special Council Meeting, hearing no objection, the meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m. ANDRIA L.
