SPECIAL POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE, INC. (PAL) The Special Police Athletic League, INC. (PAL) Meeting was held on March 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Staff Conference Room of the Dover Police Department, Kevin Baird, Esq. presiding. Members of the PAL Board in attendance were Dr. Chanda Jackson, and Kevin Baird, Esq. Dr. Wilma Mishoe was absent. DISCUSSION/APPROVAL FOR EXPEDITURES FOR UPCOMING EVENTS Corporal (Cpl.) Anthony Smith, PAL Coordinator advised the board that there were several events scheduled for 2025, two of which have costs associated (Attachment #1. The 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 19, 2025 at 11:00 at the Dover YMCA Kent Outdoor Complex and the Youth Academy is scheduled for July 7 th thru July 11th, 2025 at the Academy of Dover Charter School. Corporal Smith further stated that he expected the costs for both programs to be approximately $10.000.00. Mr. Baird moved to approve the expenditure of up to $10,000.00 for the Easter Egg Hunt and the Youth Academy, seconded by Dr. Jackson and unanimously carried. OVERVIEW OF 2024 EVENTS Cpl. Smith stated that 2024 Events included the Easter Egg Hunt, the Youth Academy, A Day in their Boots, Football Combine and CPR training for over 75 students. All of the events were great successes and he plans to have the same events for 2025. With no further business Mr. Baird moved to adjourn the meeting seconded by Dr. Jackson and unanimously carried.
